The weather has turned cool all across Raccolto; nights grow longer and mornings are misty and gray from fog off the sea. The Islands' trees have become canvases of orange, red, and yellow, which are swiftly giving way to tones of rust and umber. Fields stand empty as the lasts harvests are brought in. Autumn has arrived in regal, solemn austerity, and with it, something ominous has come too. In spite of the the cozy warmth of plush woolen sweaters and mugs of spiced drink, not withstanding the pleasant crackle of leaves and the scent of cedar logs in the fireplace, there is a tingling chill that lingers. While heat and comfort are found indoors, the world beyond the windows is menacing in contrast. When one walks alone, the senses play tricks. Was that footsteps? Had the wind always sounded like cold laughter? Were those eyes glowing in the shadows?

Invitations are sent out with information about a Halloween Party being thrown by Lucas Rangel and the lyrical phrase, "When witches go riding, and monsters are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween~! Come for fun and frights if you dare, ghouls and goblins say good times are had there!"

Interested?! Would you like your character to attend? I have great news, it's an event! It will be hosted in the Harvest-Lunatone Discord Server from 11am to 6pm CST on October 31st.

The party is taking place on Lucas' property (M11, Downey Lane, Rapture Retreat) and guests are encouraged to come in costume. Upon arrival, every party guest is given a bag with 30 pieces of candy inside. By participating in the various games and playing with the RP prompts, each player has the chance to earn more candy! At the end of the party, the player who's character has the most pieces of candy will be declared Halloween Party Funmiester and will get a special Halloween gift bag Lucas put together with candy, pranks and gag gifts, a book of ghost stories, and a bottle of cider. The player with the second most pieces of candy will be declared Halloween Party Royalty and receive a fancy Halloween themed crown and a bag of caramel popcorn. The player with the third most pieces of candy will be declared Halloween Party Spookmaster and will get a scary mask and a bag of gummy worms and gummy spiders. (In the event of ties at the end, additional games may be played as a tie breaker.)

Server Games
(Server Game #1) Hexed Word game:
Welcome to the Halloween Party! As the player's character enters, they see a large sign that has ten words on it. Curious, don't you think? Lucas informs his guests as he hands them their goody bags that those are the Hexed Words. If the guests hear him say those words and call him out on it, he'll give them more candy. This game is a tagging game and it will run continually throughout the whole Halloween Party Event. As the event progresses, Lucas will periodically say a Hexed Word. The first person to ping me with "@ Meemzer HEXED WORD!" will be awarded 5 candies from Lucas. Limit of two taggables per player.
Hexed Words- Shadow, Boo, Trick-or-Treat, Jack-o-lantern, Spooky, Haunted, Ghostly, Midnight, Scream, Frightening

(Server Game #2) Fortune Telling Candles:
With impish glee, Lucas entices party guests to discover their futures. Those who want a glimpse into the next year step forward. This is a game based on dice rolling! It will be announced and will start at a specific time during the event, and will have a two hour and fifteen minute long window for players to participate as they're available. Once the window is up, the Fortune Telling Candles game will be closed. Limit one fortune per player. Lucas has a decorated table set up with a black candle, a red candle, and an orange candle, all about a foot apart. He announces with excited flair that any guests who want to know their fortunes should step over to the table. One by one he blindfolds each party guest, spins them until they're disoriented, then lets them blow out a candle. The player then rolls dice. Roll a 1, get the black candle. Roll a 2, get the red candle. Roll a 3, get the orange candle. The candle's color determines the fortune.

(Server Game #3) Guess The Pumpkin's Weight:
Lucas has a table set up with five pumpkins of varying sizes. Each pumpkin has a paper and pen in front of it and each party guest is invited to write down their guess at how much each of the five pumpkins weighs. When the event is live, players will go HERE to log their weight guesses! It will be announced and will start at a specific time during the event, and will have a two hour and fifteen minute long window for players to participate as they're available. Once the window is up, the Pumpkin Weight game will be closed. Everyone who participates will get 3 additional candies from Lucas. The person who gets the closest on each pumpkin without going over gets 5 additional candies from Lucas.

(Server Game #4) Bobbing for Apples:
Lucas has a basin filled with water sitting innocuously by the tables of food, pumpkins, candles and party paraphernalia. With a playfully dramatic flourish he flips the buffet's tablecloth to reveal a buldging gunny sack hidden under the table. He dumps the contents into the water and announces that it's time to bob for apples! Only... there's something funny about the apples. Not all of them are apples. This game is another dice rolling game! In this one there will be multiple rounds, on the cue from Meemzer players will roll dice to determine if they pass the round and get an apple to keep playing. When the event is live, players' dice rolls will be recorded HERE. It will be announced and will start at a specific time during the event, and rounds continue until only one player remains. The last player remaining, the party guest who passed the most rounds and has the most apples, gets 5 additional candies from Lucas.

RolePlaying
RP Prompts will be announced in chronological order in the server throughout the event at regular intervals. Players can follow along and play with the prompts as they are announced to create a continuous narrative or players can choose just one or a few of the prompts to participate in as their availability allows. PARTICIPATING IN RPS GETS A FLAT RATE OF 10 CANDIES, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY PROMPTS ARE PLAYED WITH. If a player does choose to participate in three of the prompts they will also receive a bonus of 3 additional candies, for a total of 13 candies. When a player starts RPing, please ping with "@ Meemzer RP PARTICIPATION". If a player participates in three or more RP prompts, please ping with "@ Meemzer RP PARTICIPATION+3!" If Meemzer is not pinged, the points might not be awarded.

RP Prompt #1: Welcome to the Party!
Player's character arrives at the party. Lucas has his back yard decked out in full-power Halloween-y glory. Lanterns hung all around, music playing, tables set with tons of food, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) flow in ample abundance, chairs are set around a crackling fire pit, floating ghost lights cast an eerie greenish glow over the pond. Whatever your character's opinions about Halloween, the party's Host Lucas has obviously put in a ton of work in setting up for this shindig! Has your character had good Halloween memories? Did they choose to attend the party voluntarily or were they talked into going? Do they think this party is cool or lame? Do they see any familiar faces? Do they feel brave enough to meet some new folks? Find a partner or two and have your character chill and enjoy the party.

RP Prompt #2: Costume Catwalk
Lucas announces that an informal fashion show is about to commence, for guests to show off their costumes! Anyone who has come in costume deserves the chance to strut their stuff across the catwalk—which is just so happens to be the gavel pathway that circles the pond, but whatever it's all good! Flaunt what ya got! But beware, Lucas' neighbor Sonia has a friendly pet gorebyss that may or may not have been invited into Lucas' pond for the night. Careful your character doesn't get splashed by a sea monster! Will your character take part in the fashion show voluntarily? Will they need convincing? Are they proud of their costume? Is their confidence level different thanks to their costume? Will they make it around the pond like the Top Model they were born to be, or will they trip and and end up Find a partner or two and have your character have some fashion-y fun! Darling you look fa-BOO-lous~!

RP Prompt #3-A: Photo Scavenger Hunt
Lucas starts hinting to party guests know that if they're bored of party games and chit-chatting, he has set up a creepy scavenger hunt in the cemetery on the next property over. He may or may not have asked permission to set up his scary extracurricular activity shhhhhh! ANYHOW, he's hidden plastic, but very real looking, skulls throughout the cemetery grounds. He knows how many there are, but playfully refuses to give anyone a straight answer. Knowing him, Lucas has very likely set up some spooky pranks among the headstones and hedges as well, so those adventurous enough to take on the scavenger hunt would be wise to keep a wary eye out. Party guests are challenged to get a buddy and brave the unsettling darkness to find (and take pictures of) as many of his hidden skulls as possible before they loose their nerve! How many pictures can your character takes? Find a partner or two and have your character set out for scary searching! (Remember to adhere to Harvest-Lunatone's PG-13 umbrella-rating: have fun but remember to keep public roleplays compliant to the standard.)

RP Prompt #3-B: Tales Around the Fire
As an alternative to tromping off into the cemetery, Lucas cheerfully encourages those who would rather enjoy s'mores and hot cocoa to sit around the fire pit and swap their favorite stories. Did you hear a scary story one night while you were in summer camp as a kid? Did you happen to bring along your favorite hair-raising book of short stories? Think you can spin a yarn yourself that will get listener's spines tingling? The time has come for party guests to unleash their inner story teller and see who can deliver the best story for Halloween Night! Share away! Find a partner or two and swap stories!

Rules
-The goal of this event is to have fun and have opportunities for characters to interact, so please remember to be kind, courteous, and encouraging towards each other.
-Please remember the rules of the HL group and the HL discord server.
-Players can choose to have multiple characters attend the party and participate in games, but only one character per game. No doubling up to increase your odds. Each player will receive one cumulative candy score.
-Meemzer will be keep track of everyone's candies HERE, and if players would like to peek in throughout the event please feel free! The three highest candy counts will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

Got tagged by the lovely :icongoaterz: Hehehe, it's been a long time since I've done one of these journal memes. I love them ^ u ^

1. When Colo first entered the Traveler's Forest he hung out in the shifting woods for a few hours, curious about his surroundings and content on his own. When Theo came to bring him to the city proper, and Colo realized he was being followed, he climbed a tree and yelled at Theo... for a while. Theo is patient and Colo can shout curses for a long time. Many Seele residents have at least heard rumors about this.

2. Colo loves fruit. If he has to pick a favorite he'd most likely say peaches. Peaches reminds him of good times.

3. Colo is a member of the Eora Nation. (As a creator I try to be really sensitive to the fact that the fictional character I created and portray is a member of a real nation of people who experienced considerable tragedy at the hands of colonial invaders. I've done my best to find resources and information that are authentic and respectful. In this quest I've had the opportunity to learn a lot and I'm always looking to learn more!)

4. Colo's very fond of fishing.

5. In spite of having a furnished apartment suite in Seele Estate, most of the year Colo sleeps in a hammock on his balcony. He wraps himself in blanket burrows when he sleeps, and his blankets are exceptionally soft and plush. He also has a few fur blankets he sleeps with as well.

6. In 1807 Tahiry gave him a protection charm carved from bone; Colo always carries it on his person, sometimes in a pocket, sometimes on his belt, sometimes in his coin purse, sometimes tied into his hair. He doesn't often show it to others as he considers it to be a sacred totem.

7. Given a reason, Colo is just as likely to bite someone during the day as he is during the night, haha! He loves his Sybal form and feels more "at home" in his nightly form than he does in his human body.

8. Colo prefers raw, fresh-off-the-plant coffee cherries more than brewed coffee. Instead of coffee, which other ministers have recommended to him, his morning beverage of choice is mint leaves steeped in heated, honey-sweetened milk.

Hmmm... I tag :icongodessfae: :iconfuegokid: :iconmelliofthehills: :iconkauriana: to do your SybalHeim kiddos! (And anyone else who wants to do it hehehe~!)
